Charles “Chuck” A. Heinle, age 80, passed away on November 26, 2022.
Chuck was born on September 27, 1942, to Charles Edward Heinle and
Lucille Jane Hammontree. He spent the majority of his life in Toledo,
graduating from Rogers High School and later from the University of Toledo
College of Pharmacy. While in college, Chuck met his wife of 57 years,
Judith Ann Heinle (Dietsch). The couple had three children,
Lynne Simpson (Wallace), Charles W. Heinle (Kinda), and Susan Roush,
and are proud grandparents of David, Kati, Max, Corbin, Kaylee, and Jackson.
Chuck enjoyed a varied pharmacy career beginning at Lane’s Drugs (Swayne Field)
and later becoming a co-owner of Von Ewegen Pharmacy in Oregon, Ohio. After selling
the business, he worked for and retired from Wickford Pharmacy in Sylvania.
His free time was spent enjoying amateur photography and music. He loved instrumental
and chorale music, spending much of his time listening to his vast collection of recordings
while completing crossword puzzles (in ink). Chuck was a lifelong member of Collingwood
Presbyterian Church, where he sang baritone in the choir for more than 50 years.
Chuck is also survived by his sister, Nancy Heinle Spangler Steck of
Columbus, and other beloved extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Collingwood Presbyterian Church, 2108
Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, OH 43620, on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at
1:00 P.M. with a light reception following the service. The family requests
memorial donations are made to Collingwood Presbyterian Church.
