Beatrice E. "Betty" Knott

Beatrice Solomon Knott, 86, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on November 3, 1935 to Harold and Margaret McLeod Solomon in Cleveland, Ohio. Betty graduated from Jane Addams High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Western Reserve University and graduated Nurses training from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, Cleveland, Ohio, in 1957. After graduation she worked at Suburban Community Hospital until she married Charles Knott in December of 1957. She worked part time for at several Doctors offices and then was employed by the State of Ohio Employee Health Services, retiring in 1997. She loved playing Trivial Pursuit with her family and friends. Betty leaves behind her loving husband, of 63 years, Charles; children Peggy Brahier, Jerry (Julie) Knott, Brian Knott; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (James) Conklin, Jenna (Alex) Knott, Jacob, Branson, Mason, Cameron Knott; and 2 great-grandchildren, Daniel and Olivia Conklin. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Friday, July 16th, from 10:00 a.m. until the Start of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio.
