Andrea "Andi" Simpson

Andrea “Andi” Simpson, age 46, passed away in the Anne Grady Elieen Group Home, on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Andi was the daughter of Sharon (Maag) Simpson and Robert Leon Simpson. Andi attended many schools in Toledo, graduating from Libby High School in 1993. Andi was very active in Lucas County Special Olympics, where she medaled in bowling, volleyball and softball. Andi bowled on Saturdays in a the Unified Bowling League. The name of her team was 3 girls and a guy. She looked forward to Saturdays, she loved to bowl and enjoyed the time with all her friends. Andi had worked at Lott Industries on Hill Ave. in many different positions. She loved her Cleveland Indians and Toledo Mud Hens. She loved to shop at Dollars Stores, loved to dance and enjoyed the Lucas County Rec Jams and Lott Industries dinner dances. Andi moved to Anne Grady Eileen House in 2005, where she lived with seven other individuals, with staff to help them live a normal life, with guidance, care and understanding. She also worked at Trades Anne Grady Workshop until her health started to decline. She is survived by her devoted mother Sharon Simpson Luce; sister Amy Seel (James Brekas); nephew Dylan Seel and niece Danielle Seel (Cam Curtis); special aunt and uncle Debbie and Joe Shepard; cousins Brandi Shepard and Heather Profitt (Darrell). Andi was preceded in death by her grandparents Thelma and Robert Maag. Sharon would like to thank Tim from Promedica Hospice for bringing hospice into the group home to care for Andi. And a big thank you to her sister Debbie, the supervisors and staff who have helped take care of Andi, and the love and care they gave her during her transition. Rest in Peace my daughter, no more needles, no more hospitals, no more doctors, no more tests. You are finally free from pain and so many unanswered medical questions.
